The “Awakening the Green Man” action took place in  Romania between 1- 7 July 2012. 11 adults from the UK and Germany and other local people from the Apuseni Mountains  were present.The action concentrated on discovering various uses of wood and forests in the area. Each participant made an alpenhorn under the guidance of a local wood craftsman.  Sculptor Lucian Gaita made the wooden face of  “green man”.

The programme ended with a photo exhibition showing the uses of wood in the area.The alpenhorns made by participants, the “green man” face, a wooden loom for manual weaving  and other wooden objects were displayed.
